Project summary:
A fundamental problem, weakness of the region's tourism is the lack of the spread
of the local tourist attractions within the region and in the international scene,
which results in the small number of visitors, short period of stay and unfavorable revenue trends.
One of the proven methods of the mitigation of
the above-listed negative tendencies is the establishment of
thematic tourist routes that are able to attract attention to certain
spectacles - by gathering them around a specific topic.
For tourism developments, it is inevitable to improve the infrastructure background,
provide for reception conditions that meet the requirements of modern tourism.
Our objective being the promotion of transnational ecumenical tourism, we elaborated
our projects idea and its activities in such way that will bring a major
contribution to the sustainable use of the cultural heritage and to bring
contribution to the development of the tourism in this border region.
By elaborating a whole tourist package concerning religious music – choirs,
concerts, expositions, tourist routs – we are elaborating an innovative
tourism attraction. By the construction of a modern concert hall and the
renovation of a church being on the cultural heritage list,
we are improving the attractiveness of the cross-border tourism.
Beside the constructed concert hall within the building complex
of the Reformed Centre in Timisoara and the renovated church in Senta,
our main outputs are the tourism promoting website and the tourism routs
promoting brochures, the elaborated study in the field of clerical music
and the 45 thematic events organized in the implementation of the project.
Built on the idea that modern tourist routs have a richer offer and so are more attractively for tourist if it crosses the state border, we elaborated the whole project idea in this spirit. Our project objectives, the activities and the outputs have all cross-border character or even, these can be achieved only in a cross-border approach. By means of the project we will organize 45 events which all has the purpose to initiate and further promote tourism in the field of religious music. These events are 11 concerts, 3 high messes, 12 organ demonstrations, 6 choir meetings, 3 chapel master reunions, 6 expositions, 2 conferences and 2 trips. The main locations are Timisoara and Senta, but for further intensification of the impact, some of the events will take place in Vrsac, Zrenjanin, Sannicolau Mare, Deta and Tormac.
To have a clear project which achieves the proposed results and will be sustainable after project closure too, is indispensable to have a proper professional consolidation. Therefore we will elaborate an asset study about the regions touristic attraction in the field of religious music. By means of this study we will elaborate thematically tourist routs, which also will be the content of the cross-border thematically tourism promoter brochures. The website will have a cross border tourism promoter portals role, will present the identified constructed cultural heritages in the field, photo illustration, presentation of the music achievements and activities, the joint music event calendar which represent the whole region of the Banat region of Serbia and Timis County from Romania.
The direct target group is represented by the choirs, chapel masters, religious music experts and church members in the region; The major events and the end products of the project will be used mostly by the tourist arrived in the region. The innovative factor of the project is the development of a new touristic product namely the cross-border routs regarding the values of the religious music in the region.
